Priscilla Cowie discusses Kirituna – Resilience, an exhibition of established and emerging Te Waipounamu (South Island) artists.

She will talk about the significance of te taiao (the natural environment) as a source of inspiration for contemporary Māori Art.

Artist Priscilla Cowie is of Ngāi Tahu, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu, French and Scottish descent. She graduated from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 1995 and has exhibited widely, working in various mediums including bronze, paper, printmaking and design.
