Sunday 28 May
With a collection of short and expressive short bike films helping to inspire, encourage and celebrate women who love to bike.
Who is ‘Cycle Chic’? She’s an explorer who pushes boundaries, she’s courageous and an advocate for change.
To cater for a growing demand by female bike riders to have their stories told on the Big screen, THE BIG BIKE FILM NIGHT has curated this "world cinema on wheels" collection featuring films from emerging and established independent film makers.
Covering amongst them -a London bike store owner with a unique point of difference, the remarkable story of an American female Bike Frame Builder, an Urban planner whose dream is to have a simple cycling lane in her home city (easier said than done -it's in East Africa), female bike riders and their fixations with riding fixed gear, a journey by bike where love and adventure come together, and a moving story on courage and how a bike can empower people set in Afghanistan.
At the heart of this collection is showing real people being part of some pretty extra-ordinary stories. The humble bike is the unifying factor throughout these films and this collection will appeal to BOTH males and females alike.
Ticket Bookings are made from our website, connecting you to our e-ticketing service; or ON THE NIGHT DOOR (CASH SALES) in person at the Auditorium (Subject to availability).
