NZCT Chamber Music Contest District Rounds

The NZCT Chamber Music Contest is open throughout New Zealand to all full-time students from Years 9 to 13, with an upper age limit of 19 years of age as at 6 August 2017. 

The Contest is the perfect opportunity to encourage young musicians, regardless of standard or experience, to compose and to perform chamber music and strive towards excellence. This iconic musical event is held annually throughout the country in June and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015. We’re looking forward to another 50 years of inspiring youth music-making and to celebrate the fantastic musicians and composers that have launched their careers through the Contest.

District rounds are presented as concerts and are open to the public.
