ASB Christchurch Marathon
Sunday 04 Jun 2017
Like Christchurch itself, the new-look ASB Christchurch Marathon is rebuilding following the earthquakes of 2010/11.
Inspired by the 1974 Commonwealth Games marathon, the annual Queens Birthday Weekend event has been the South Island’s premier marathon event for almost 40 years. Renowned as one of the fastest courses in the world, it is also one of the most scenic and supportive with a new central city course taking in iconic Christchurch landmarks such as Catherdal Square, Hagley Park and the Avon River.
With a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & Kids' Mara'Fun, there is something for everyone, with some 5000 participants from a dozen countries turning out.
But don’t take our word
for it... Try it for Yourself!
